Britcar Race Team

Britcar is a UK endurance racing championship. There are two categories for endurance and sprint races. SVG run in the sprint category.

The sprint category format is a 20-minute practice session and two 50-minute races. The races have a mandatory pitstop allowing cars to be shared with two drivers.

Cars are categorised into classes using a performance indicator (BEPI) that ensures they are racing against cars of similar lap times. Cars also have success penalties added to pit stop times. Races include both sports cars and saloons cars.

In 2021 SVG achieved runner up spot in both classes 1 and 2. The drivers, Mark Lee and Peter Spano, also finished joint 4th overall in the championship. Both will race again this year with Mark aiming to make the step up to the Endurance class in 2023. Mark is also looking to compete in another championship this year, details to be announced.
