Ginetta
Championship winning Team
The Ginetta GT Academy is a unique concept to provide a driver with a high performance, safe and reliable race car. It is an entry-level formula in GT Racing. Drivers of all experience levels can compete in the GT Academy. The field is split between experienced drivers and a Rookie class.
The Car:
The Ginetta G40 car has a perfectly balanced 50/50 weight distribution, weighing just 850kg. The engine is a sealed Ford 1.8 litre 4-cylinder Zetec, it has a Quaife 6-speed sequential gearbox. The G40 offers an affordable high-performance race car with low running costs and high reliability. Designed to provide the very best experience for the driver whilst not compromising on safety or equipment.
The Ginetta GT Academy enjoyed a fantastic inaugural season in 2021. It is the entry-level formula on the Ginetta ladder of domestic championships. SVG’s has won the championship with Toby Trice.
The championship primarily runs as part of the programme at British GT events and gets a guest appearance on the BTCC package.
